This year in 2008, Perl has been the most flexible language for us to use, it allows for rapid development and deployment of a host of web based projects. The web pacakges of Perl make web development quick and secure, having been honed over many year and over many projects.

And Perl is a fun language, sure it has its peculiarities but with a new version of Perl on the horizon, we wanted to make 2008 a Perl version 5 year for us. Not only is quick to write, it performs very well also.

Perl will probably always be in our toolbox of programming languages, just for its adaptability and terseness.
