Top Ten Programming Languages 2008

SQL, Structured Query Language is a declarative language that has been around as long as RDBMSs, used to query and build databases.

What has been getting our attention though in 2008, is the ability to script plpgsql using itself, in the Postgresql database system. Not, many of these projects have seen the light of day yet, but come 2009 they will start to roll out. It is all geeky fun at the moment, but there is some real benefit from using this approach that we are honing and perfecting.

SQL is also used nearly across the board on all our projects, the ability to have good business data separation and storage is paramount to nearly everything we do. SQL also forms the basis of most business operations where information is concerned, so we all keep more than a few fingers in this particular pie.
